About Me

This blog has been in the making since approx 1994. I have loved to read and write long before I even knew what the internet was. Maybe it's because my parents like to read and always encouraged me to do the same, maybe it's because I was an only child for 10 years and had to find some way to entertain myself other than watching cartoons. My favorite option is that I have a love for writing because my words will one day change the world, but that is yet to be seen.

I have a mother (as most of us do) and two younger sisters who live in the Chicago area. If I get the guts and find a job, I hope to move there next summer after finishing up my undergraduate degree.

I am a public relations/communications senior at The University of Cincinnati. I attended high school in Huber Heights, Ohio but up until then I completed K-8th grades in a variety of locations including Dayton, OH, the suburbs of St.Louis, MO and the farm lands of central IL.

I decided to pursue public relations specifically in the 10th grade, and I've really never looked back. There were a few wayward steps, but I am sure this is what I am meant to do. I have completed three internships, and am about to embark on 2 more this fall. See my PR Experience tab for more info on those ventures and some pieces I've written.

I love to work and have consistently had a job, if not 2, since the day I turned 16. I've been waiting tables for about six years now, and it's a love hate relationship.

I love to shop and am addicted to any type of purse or bag.

I am addicted to many television shows such as The Office, Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters, Snapped, House Hunters, Weeds, Nurse Jackie, and yes, The Jersey Shore.

I spend a lot of time driving and would be lost without my ITouch which includes lots of 2AM Club, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Third Eye Blind, Jack Johnson, OAR, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, Colbie Caillat, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Michael Buble, and various other artists.

I spend a lot of my free time (the little I have) on my blackberry or laptop, googling/twittering about the PR world, and I can't wait to get an official start in the real world. I am passionate about many things, including using my voice to make positive changes for businesses, clients, and hopefully one day the world.
